This year it was my first time to participate and present a paper at the ASEEES Convention, held in Philadelphia. I was a part of the panel on Gendering Youth, Health, Friendship and Nation, organised by Dr Catherine Baker. The idea was to present papers from the forthcoming edited volume on gender in Eastern Europe, also edited by Catherine who has done an amazing work to put it all together of what is going to be a decent volume!
The ASEEES Convention was full of great panels, and fantastic academic and friendly atmosphere. It was also particularly successful, as I met in person some great scholars I did not know before, but also reconnected with some others that I haven't seen for a while. Can't wait for the next convention in DC.
