This was my second participation at the annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Organised in Calgary in Canada, this was a chance to present my new work and reconnect with Canadian scholars. As a member of the Canadian Association of Slavists, I presented my research on relationship between the Soviet and Yugoslav communists women, as well as on methodological approaches to track the transfer of cultural policies from one entity to another.
The panel was well visited, while I enjoyed the centre-periphery debate afterwards. The main question concerned the agency of Yugoslav communists, and if they had any influence on the Soviet Union during their stay there in the 1930s.
